“Divine” was one of the fastest songs I had ever written. What started with a simple synth melody became a song about vulnerability, trust, and realizing that sometimes the best production decision is to stop adding things.

“A Neon Hymn” started with a bass line and a picture of a roller rink in my head. From there it became a song about movement, distance, letting things end, and continuing forward with somebody else.

“Dreamwave” started with a drum beat, sixteen bars on repeat, and a rolling bass line. The lyrics didn't come from some hidden story. I liked the imagery, followed the feeling of the track, and let the song become what it wanted to be.

“Beyond the Sand and the Fever Dreams” started while I was learning Serum and became a song about love, mortality, and the strange comfort of imagining that the person you built your life with might somehow still be there at the end.

“From the Sun to the Sea” was the second song I ever wrote. I was still learning Logic Pro, figuring out synthesizers, and discovering what Prophets of the Cosmic Darkness was going to become.
