THE PROJECT
THE NAME IS USUALLY DARKER THAN THE MUSIC
Founded in 2025, Prophets of the Cosmic Darkness began with synthesizers and electronic music but has become increasingly difficult to fit into a single genre.
Indie pop and nu-disco are probably the closest descriptions today, alongside elements of synth pop, dream pop and electronic music.
That range is intentional. The song decides where it goes.
THE MUSIC
NO FIXED FORMULA
Songs can start with a bass line, a melody, a synthesizer, a rhythm or sometimes just a phrase. One release might be bright and danceable while the next is quiet, strange, heavier—and somehow still danceable.

Prophets of the Cosmic Darkness is primarily written, recorded and produced by Timmy Wakefield, with other musicians contributing when a song calls for it.
The project isn't built around a fictional universe or a character. It's simply a place to make music without deciding in advance exactly what that music is supposed to be.
