I know the music is good. So why do I immediately tear it down when someone compliments it? I'm learning that accepting praise isn't the same as having an ego—and constantly minimizing the work isn't humility either.

THE ORIGIN OF PROPHETS OF THE COSMIC DARKNESS
Prophets of the Cosmic Darkness started with me returning to music after nearly a decade away from it. What was originally supposed to be a death metal band became something completely different, shaped by loss, late nights, records with my husband, and the realization that I needed to start creating again.
